The company's statement lists the batch codes that will be withdrawn from sale. The recall concerns products from several brands, such as NAN 1 OPTIPRO, NAN 2 OPTIPRO, NAN sour milk, NAN Supreme, and ALFARE Amino.

The company emphasized that, despite the minimal content of the toxin and the absence of regulated norms for its level in food products in Uzbekistan, as of January 5 of this year, measures have begun to recall a limited number of batches of baby formulas as part of Nestle's global initiatives to reduce potential risks.

In addition, Nestle Food has notified the relevant regulatory authorities and is ready to provide them and consumers with all necessary information about the measures being taken in Uzbekistan. Customers who have already purchased products that may contain the toxin can return them in accordance with the company's established rules.

It is important to note that the recall only concerns a limited number of batches of baby formulas. Other products and goods from different batches by Nestle will continue to be available for sale in Uzbek stores.

Previously, the company also announced a recall of baby formulas in Kazakhstan for the same reason — the possible presence of the toxin cereulide in batch products. Similar measures have been implemented in Russia and in several European countries.

Cereulide is a toxin that does not break down during boiling and reheating of food. It can cause acute food poisoning, manifesting symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain.
