Regional business received 85% guarantees from the "Guarantee Fund"

At a press conference at the "Kabar" agency, the chairman of the board, Malik-Aidar Abakirov, reported that 85% of guarantees were issued to local entrepreneurs.
According to him, 66% of the fund's resources are directed towards supporting key sectors of the economy, such as agriculture, processing, industry, tourism, and mortgage lending.

“We pay special attention to supporting women's and youth entrepreneurship. These initiatives account for 40% of the total number of guarantees, resulting in the issuance of 658 guarantees amounting to 586.2 million soms, which allowed attracting loans totaling 2.5 billion soms. This year, we are developing special programs that will help women and youth more actively develop their businesses,” he added.

In response to questions about the implementation of international projects and attracting investments, Abakirov spoke about three projects being implemented with the support of the World Bank, two of which have already been completed.

“The project on portfolio guarantees amounting to 32 million dollars was successfully completed last year, one and a half years ahead of schedule, and received a high rating – highly satisfactory. A contract has also been signed with the World Bank for the provision of 59 million dollars for green guarantees, and the practical implementation of this project will begin in the second quarter of 2026,” the chairman reported.
