Mandatory Navigation Seals for Alcohol and Tobacco Introduced in the EAEU
Starting from February 11, 2026, new regulations regarding the mandatory tracking of the transportation of alcoholic and tobacco products using navigation seals will come into effect in the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union. In anticipation of this innovation, the State Tax Service of Kyrgyzstan organized a meeting with business representatives to clarify the new requirements.
The changes will affect both export and import shipments carried out by road and rail transport. The main objective of the implemented system is to ensure the safety of goods and the accuracy of their declaration.
The tax service emphasizes that the introduction of electronic seals will provide the following benefits:
acceleration of the process of crossing state borders;
reduction of the administrative burden on honest businesses;
decrease in risks associated with the smuggling of excise goods.
Training events will be organized for entrepreneurs and tax authority employees to ensure a smooth transition to the new digital tracking system.
