At the XXIV international festival held in Dhaka (Bangladesh), Kyrgyz filmmakers were awarded several prizes. This was reported on the official website of the festival.

The film "Kurak," created by Erke Jumakmatova and Emil Atageldiev, was recognized as the best in the Asian competition. The award for best screenplay also went to the film "Ot," produced under the direction of Dastan Madalbekov and Aizada Bekbalaeva.

In the section dedicated to women directors, the award for best direction was given to the film "Seventh Month" by Aizada Amangeldy.

Additionally, the project "Husband" by Aizada Bekbalaeva took second place in the screenplay laboratory "West Meets East."

The festival in Dhaka, which has been held since 1992, is the largest in Bangladesh and attracts audiences from around the world. Its program includes screenings of films of various genres, master classes, and discussions featuring renowned figures in cinema.
