Papan Hydroelectric Power Station. At what stage is the construction, as reported by the Ministry of Energy
In the Kara-Suu district of the Osh region, the implementation of the small hydropower plant project "Papan," with a capacity of 27 MW, is actively continuing.
According to information provided by the Ministry of Energy, the following important milestones have been achieved so far:
- An 8-kilometer temporary road has been built, providing access to the construction site;
- A plot of land has been allocated for the installation of a water intake in the Papan reservoir;
- The procedure for land allocation is currently underway to create a production hub, which will include the hydropower plant building and an open switchgear with a voltage of 110 kV (OSG-110 kV);
- Technical conditions regarding electricity consumption during the construction phase have been developed and agreed upon;
- Work continues on land allocation issues for the installation of poles for the overhead power line VL-110 kV from the Papan HPP to the VL-110 kV line "Uzlova – Besh-Moynok."
It is worth reminding that the ceremonial laying of the capsule for the Papan HPP took place on October 5, 2024.
