The Specialized Committee of the ЖК reviewed the bill on the issuance between Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia

The Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, which deals with issues of the judicial system, law enforcement, combating crime, and countering corruption, held the first reading of the draft law "On the Ratification of the Extradition Treaty between the Kyrgyz Republic and Mongolia." This treaty was signed in Bishkek on July 21, 2025.

Deputy Attorney General Ümütkan Konkubayeva noted that this document establishes the legal framework for the extradition of individuals convicted of crimes, allowing them to serve their sentences in their home country.

She also added that there are about 50 citizens of Kyrgyzstan living in Mongolia, but none of them are in closed institutions. At the same time, two citizens of Mongolia are serving sentences in Kyrgyzstan: one is sentenced to 8 years, and the other to 7 years, and their crimes fall into the category of serious offenses.
