The Housing Committee approved in the first reading amendments to the law "On State and Municipal Services"

- On January 13, 2026, the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh dealing with constitutional legislation, state structure, and local self-government held a discussion and approved in the first reading a draft law concerning amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On State and Municipal Services."

Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Choro Seyitov emphasized that this draft law aims to improve the system of providing state and municipal services. In particular, it proposes the abolition of the requirement for the approval of an administrative regulation for each service.

During the discussion, Deputy Karim Khandzheza expressed doubts about this provision and inquired whether the removal of administrative regulations would affect the quality of services provided to the population.

The Deputy Minister replied that the abolition of regulations would help to use resources more efficiently for both state and local authorities, without compromising the quality of the services provided.
