Life in the Regions: Tashmama Nurdinova Produces a Product from Cotton Oil, Beeswax, and Egg Yolk

Tashmama Nurdinova, a group II disabled person and resident of the village of Okhna, located in the Kadamjai district of the Batken region, successfully runs her own business despite her physical limitations.

Working from home, she prepares cosmetic and household products using beeswax, egg yolk, and other natural ingredients under the brand "Okhna EKO." "I am 41 years old, and I have a degree in history. I taught at school for eight years, and many of my students achieved success in competitions. But then I faced type 2 diabetes, which has been affecting my life for almost ten years now, and I currently have a group II disability. Despite this, I continue to seek opportunities for work," she shares.

After completing a training course and receiving a certificate from the district tax service, Tashmama began her entrepreneurial journey. Her product range includes cold remedies, creams, shampoos, soaps, dishwashing liquids, as well as face creams and lip balms. Currently, sales are at an average level, and the revenue mainly goes towards purchasing raw materials. "I have a cream called 'Keremet Mai,' which is made from heated cottonseed oil with the addition of beeswax and egg yolk. I sell it for 100 soms for 40 grams, although I buy the wax for 150 soms for 100 grams," she explains about her products.

Tashmama has been in business for almost a year now, and to date, she has not received a single negative review from customers. On the contrary, buyers express their appreciation. "So far, my products have not undergone laboratory testing, but doctors who purchase them have noted the safety and benefits of the products," Nurdinova adds.
