
According to information provided by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, there is a risk of avalanches and the formation of snow drifts in the mountainous regions of Kyrgyzstan, as well as on several passes, from March 3 to March 5 due to unstable weather conditions.
Ice is also forecasted on some sections of the roads.
The most dangerous areas for possible avalanches include:
- Bishkek - Osh: 121-138 km (Tuu-Ashuu pass), 198-265 km (Chychkan gorge, Ala-Bel pass);
- Myrzake - Kara-Kuldja - Alayku: 55-115 km;
- Ala-Buka - Kanysh-Kiya: 45-112 km (Chapchyma pass);
- Red Hill - Ak-Tash: 0-3 km;
- Bishkek - Naryn - Torugart: 292-305 km (Dolon pass);
- Balikchy - Kazarman - Jalal-Abad: 201-205 km, 260-290 km, and 326-349 km (Kok-Art pass);
- Karakoil - Enilchek: 45-90 km (Chon-Ashuu pass).
