Avalanches and snow drifts may occur on several roads, including:
- the Bishkek - Osh route (from 121 to 138 km at the Too-Ashuu pass; from 198 to 265 km in the Chychkan gorge and at the Ala-Bel pass);
- the Myrza-Ake - Kara-Kuldja - Alaykuu road (from 55 to 115 km);
- the Ala-Buka - Kanysh-Kiya route (from 45 to 112 km at the Chapchyma pass);
- the Krasnaya Gorka - Ak-Tash road (from 0 to 3 km);
- the Sary-Tash - Daroot-Korgon - Karamyk route (from 97 to 98 km);
- the Bishkek - Naryn - Torugart road (from 292 to 305 km at the Dolon pass);
- the Aral - Min-Kush route (from 1 to 14 km) and Aral - Suusamyr (from 8 to 21 km);
- the Balakchy - Kazarman - Manas road (from 201 to 205 km, from 260 to 290 km, and from 326 to 349 km at the Kok-Art pass);
- the Karakol - Enilchek route (from 45 to 90 km at the Chon-Ashuu pass).
The MES recommends that drivers maintain a distance of at least 500 meters between vehicles for safety.
