Storm Warning: Avalanches and Ice Formation Expected on February 21-22

According to Kyrgyzhydromet, adverse weather conditions are expected in the mountainous regions of Kyrgyzstan on February 21 and 22, including the risk of snow avalanches, snow drifts, and ice.

Dangerous situations may arise on the following roads:

— Bishkek — Osh, sections 121–138 km (Töö-Ashuu Pass);

— Bishkek — Osh, sections 198–265 km (Ala-Bel Pass, Chychkan Gorge);

— Myrza-Ake — Kara-Kulja — Alayku, sections 55–115 km;

— Ala-Buka — Kanysh-Kiya, sections 45–112 km (Chapchyma Pass);

— Krasnaya Gorka — Akhtash, 0–3 km;

— Sary-Tash — Daroot-Korgon — Karamyk, 97–98 km;

— Bishkek — Naryn — Torugart, sections 292–305 km (Dolon Pass);

— Aral — Ming-Kush, 1–14 km;

— Aral — Suusamyr, 8–21 km;

— Balikchy — Kazarman — Jalal-Abad, sections 201–205 km, 260–290 km, and 326–349 km (Kök-Art Pass);

— Karakol — Enilchek, sections 45–90 km (Chon-Ashuu Pass).

Drivers are strongly advised to exercise increased caution in avalanche-prone areas and maintain a distance of at least 500 meters between vehicles.

Forecasters recommend considering current weather conditions when planning trips to mountainous areas.
