The Ministry of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic has announced the allocation of 50 million soms in 2026 for the development of animated films in the state language. This was reported by the Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy Marat Tagaev at a meeting in the Jogorku Kenesh.

Tagaev noted that there is a significant shortage of animated films for children in the Kyrgyz language. To address this issue, the ministry plans to use modern technologies.

“The process of creating animation has been greatly simplified thanks to the introduction of artificial intelligence. From the total amount of 50 million soms, we intend to allocate approximately 30 million for the production of new animated films, while the remaining 20 million will be directed towards professional dubbing of foreign animated films into the Kyrgyz language,” the deputy minister explained.

He also added that by the end of the year, they plan to release hundreds of animated films, rather than just a few projects. All produced content will be available on both national television channels and YouTube, allowing for maximum reach to children.
