Marat Tagaev: There will be opponents to us creating subtitles in the Kyrgyz language for foreign films
The Deputy Minister of Culture appealed to the deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh for support
At a meeting of the parliamentary committee in Bishkek, Deputy Minister of Culture Marat Tagaev stated that the idea of creating subtitles in the Kyrgyz language for foreign films would face resistance.
He noted: "We are actively working to provide foreign films with subtitles in the Kyrgyz language. We will soon introduce amendments to the legislation in parliament. However, there will be opponents, and we ask the deputies for support," Tagaev added.
Furthermore, it is worth reminding that according to current regulations, the Ministry of Culture will monitor the content on television screens in the country, requiring that at least 60% of programs be broadcast in the Kyrgyz language.
