The Ministry of Culture intends to reduce the number of documentary films
He noted that a significant number of documentary films are created for anniversaries—both 100th and 90th—which entails substantial financial costs.
“The National Council has decided to sharply reduce the number of documentary films. Previously, there was a practice of creating programs or films dedicated to the anniversaries of certain individuals,” Tagaev added.
In addition, he announced the creation of a documentary film dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan's independence. “In the past, films were made in honor of the 60th or 70th anniversaries of living people, which cost millions. We will put an end to this practice,” he emphasized.
