At the last meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, deputies discussed and approved the draft constitutional law "On Amendments to the Constitutional Law of the Kyrgyz Republic 'On the Accounts Chamber'" in two readings — the second and third.
The initiator of this bill was the President of the Kyrgyz Republic. The information about it was presented by the chairman of the committee on finance, budget, entrepreneurship, and competition development, Altynbek Kudayberdiev.
The main goal of developing this law is to improve the legal regulation of the work of the Accounts Chamber. The document also proposes to significantly reduce the number of auditors from nine to three. This change introduces a provision stating that the Accounts Chamber will consist of three auditors, including a chairman who will be appointed from among them, as well as the apparatus and territorial subdivisions of the Accounts Chamber.
In addition, the Jogorku Kenesh reviewed and adopted in the third reading the draft law "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Kyrgyz Republic," concerning the laws "On Investments" and "On Arbitration Courts." The draft law "On Amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic 'On the Exchange of Credit Information'" was also approved in the second reading.
