Lawmakers approved a bill to reduce the number of auditors in the Accounts Chamber
The initiator of this bill is the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The main goal of developing the project is to optimize the legal regulation of the work of the Accounts Chamber and to ensure its institutional, functional, and financial independence in accordance with international standards of external state audit.
As part of the proposed changes, the number of auditors will be reduced from nine to three. This innovation implies that the Accounts Chamber will consist of three auditors, among whom a chairperson will be appointed, and the staff of the Accounts Chamber and its territorial subdivisions will also be determined.
