Athletes from Kyrgyzstan won 9 medals at the Muhamet Malo tournament

From February 25 to March 1, the second ranking tournament in sports wrestling, Muhamet Malo-2026, took place in Tirana, the capital of Albania. The tournament featured 28 athletes from Kyrgyzstan competing in three disciplines: freestyle, women's, and Greco-Roman wrestling, according to information from the press service of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic.

As a result of the competitions, Kyrgyz wrestlers managed to win 9 medals.

Freestyle Wrestling:

Ernazar Akmataliev won the gold medal in the under 70 kg category;

Orozobek Toktomambetov secured silver in the under 74 kg weight category;

Zalkarbek Tabaldiev received the bronze medal.

All four Kyrgyz female athletes in women's wrestling placed in the top three:

Aiperi Medet kyzy won the gold medal in the under 76 kg category;

Nurzat Nurtayeva and Meerim Jumaanazarova received silver medals in the under 72 kg and under 68 kg categories, respectively;

Gulnur Tashtanbekova won the bronze medal in the under 65 kg category.

Greco-Roman Wrestling:

Razak Beyshkeev became the bronze medalist in the under 72 kg category;

Uzur Jusupbekov also won a bronze medal in the under 97 kg weight category.
