Orozobek Toktomambetov won silver at the MUHAMET MALO-2026 ranking tournament in Tirana

Kyrgyz wrestler Orozobek Toktomambetov became the silver medalist at the international ranking tournament MUHAMET MALO-2026, which is taking place in Tirana, in the weight category up to 74 kg.

According to the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, Toktomambetov began his performances from the 1/8 finals, where he won against Azerbaijani wrestler Kanan Heybatov, finishing the match with a score of 3:1.

In the quarterfinals, the Kyrgyz athlete confidently defeated Quincy Monday from the USA, showing a result of 5:1, which allowed him to advance to the semifinals.

In the semifinals, Orozobek faced Georgian wrestler Giorgi Elbakidze and won with a score of 2:0, giving him the opportunity to compete in the final.

However, in the decisive match, Toktomambetov lost to Iranian Yones Aliakbar Emami with a score of 0:5, ultimately earning a silver medal.

It is worth noting that the MUHAMET MALO-2026 tournament is taking place in Albania and will last until March 1.
