Ernazar Akmataliev won gold at the ranking tournament in Albania

At the wrestling tournament in Albania, Kyrgyzstan native Ernazar Akmataliev achieved victory and became the holder of a gold medal.

The athlete competed in the under 70 kg category, starting his journey from the 1/8 finals.

In his first match, he faced the reigning European champion from Russia, who competed in the 65 kg weight class, and won. Akmataliev then confidently defeated a representative from Moldova.

To reach the finals, the Kyrgyzstani had to battle against a wrestler from Kazakhstan. In a tense match, Ernazar managed to clinch victory in the final seconds by executing a 4-point throw.

In the final bout, Akmataliev faced an athlete from the USA and won with a score of 3:2.

Thus, in the final protocol, he took first place, earning him a gold medal.

The bronze medal in the same category was won by Zalkarbek Tabaldiev.

Also competing in the under 70 kg weight class was Rustam Kakharo, who started from the 1/8 finals but lost to Tabaldiev.
