What is the deadline for replacing licenses?
For the convenience of citizens, a transitional period has been established. From January 15 to February 15, old indefinite licenses can be exchanged for new ones free of charge. Citizens who do not manage to replace their documents within this period will be able to do so later, but on a paid basis.
After the transitional period, old licenses will lose their validity and will also be subject to mandatory replacement.
The State Center for Registration of Vehicles and Driver Personnel under the Presidential Administration will officially inform the public about the further stages and deadlines of this procedure.

Why is it necessary to replace licenses?
The replacement of licenses is related to the fact that old documents do not have digital identification, are not recognized in a number of countries, and have a low level of protection, which increases the risk of abuse. New licenses comply with international standards and have improved security features, which enhances safety.
The government has taken measures to simplify the replacement process to create the most convenient conditions for citizens:
- A medical certificate in form 083 is not required;
- The replacement can be arranged through the online service "Tündük";
- The process of obtaining services has been optimized, allowing for the avoidance of unnecessary costs and haste.

How to obtain a new license?
Citizens with licenses registered in the "Tündük" system are recommended to arrange the replacement online, avoiding visits to offices.
To do this, you need to go to the "Services" section, select "Automotive and Driving," and click on "Submit an application for replacing a driver's license." Next, you need to specify the address for receiving documents and undergo photo identification.
Residents of the Chuy region applying through the "Tündük" mobile application are advised to choose the nearest territorial departments in Bishkek: Eastern, Alamedin, or Tash-Dobon departments.
Those whose licenses are not registered in the "Tündük" system must personally visit the relevant offices to replace their documents.

The exact number of issued indefinite licenses is unknown. However, some citizens have already managed to replace their documents.

How long does it take to produce new documents?
The production time for a driver's license is up to four working days from the moment the application is submitted. The applicant can track the status of their request through the "personal account" in the "Tündük" application.
To check the status of the application (in case of rejection), you need to go to the "Submit an application" section, where the reason for the refusal will be indicated. If the application is rejected, a new application will need to be submitted, possibly with the upload of a new photo.
