Foreign Ministry: About 20 Kyrgyz citizens deported from the USA, another twenty expected to be expelled

According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeenbek Kulubaev, who spoke at a press conference in Bishkek on January 15, there are many citizens of Kyrgyzstan in the USA, including students and workers with legal status.

However, as the minister noted, those who are in the country illegally are subject to actions by immigration services and may be deported.

Currently, about 20 citizens have already been deported, and it is expected that another 20 will be deported in the near future.

Kulubaev also reported that the American side assures that there will be no problems if all necessary documents are in order. The issue of the visa bond is also under discussion, and the Kyrgyz side insists on reducing it to a level comparable to local salaries. According to him, the immigration policy implemented by the Donald Trump administration affects many countries, including Russia, and negotiations are ongoing with the USA, which take into account the arguments of the Kyrgyz side.

The minister urged citizens of Kyrgyzstan to ensure proper documentation of all necessary papers.
