The Foreign Minister responded to whether the stay regime for citizens of Kyrgyzstan in Russia can be softened.
He noted that the issue of preferential conditions is quite complex.
According to him, Russia adheres to a strict migration policy. Throughout 2024-2025, the Kyrgyz side actively interacted with Russian colleagues, which allowed for the exclusion of some citizens from the blacklist. However, the 90/180 regime still remains in effect, as these are internal decisions of the Russian migration service, and we cannot interfere with them. Similar rules apply in our country," the Foreign Minister added.
He also emphasized that citizens of Kyrgyzstan must take care of the legality of their stay in Russia. The Minister noted that under the conditions of martial law, the Russian side is not considering the possibility of easing the rules. "We recommend everyone to put their documents in order. However, changing the 90/180 regime is currently impossible," concluded Kulubaev.
