A State Visit by Xi Jinping to Kyrgyzstan is Expected
In 2026, a state visit by the Chairman of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, will take place in Kyrgyzstan. This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeenbek Kulubaev, at a press conference dedicated to the results of 2025.
The minister noted that the level of bilateral relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and China can be assessed at 11 points out of 10. Throughout 2024-2025, numerous high-profile meetings were held between the two countries, including President Sadyr Japarov's visit to China.
“The past year of 2025 was quite productive for Kyrgyz-Chinese relations. In 2026, we will continue active cooperation in preparation for Xi Jinping's visit to Kyrgyzstan. Preparations have already begun, and the agenda for the visit will be quite extensive,” noted Jeenbek Kulubaev.
