The Foreign Minister commented on the suspension of the U.S. issuance of immigration visas to citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In 2025, 2,088 foreign citizens were deported from Kyrgyzstan, while 9,000 foreign citizens received legal status. According to Kulubaev, deportation only affects those foreigners who have been in the U.S. without a visa and documents for 5-10 years.
He added that all Central Asian countries are subject to this measure, and therefore, joint efforts in this direction are necessary.
Additionally, the minister reported that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is addressing the issue of the visa bond introduced by the U.S. "Although with a salary of $40,000 one can easily pay a bond of $15,000, such salaries are not found in our country. Our incomes do not exceed $1,000," he noted, adding that he will continue discussions on this matter with the American side.
