All doctors in Kyrgyzstan must undergo certification for breathalyzers, - Ministry of Internal Affairs
Deputy Bolo Ibragimov emphasized the importance of being able to conduct breath tests on-site for drivers in real-time.
Urmambetov added that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has already sent a request to the Ministry of Health regarding the use of breathalyzers. This issue was discussed at the level of ministers and their deputies, as difficulties have arisen in judicial practice due to the lack of certified medical personnel. In particular, this has led to the cancellation of 259 protocols.
As the deputy minister noted, work is underway in district medical institutions to certify doctors, which will allow them to legally and correctly use breathalyzers and thereby avoid problems in legal cases.
