The Ministry of Internal Affairs tests average speed control on the Bishkek-Tokmok highway: 7,406 cases of speeding recorded

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan has begun testing a speed control system on the highway connecting Bishkek and Tokmok. This was reported on January 13 by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Oktobyr Urmambetov at a meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh that deals with law enforcement issues.

As part of the testing, specialized cameras have been installed on this section, which have already recorded 7,406 cases of speeding.

The Deputy Minister emphasized that the main goal of the testing is to assess the effectiveness of a method that takes into account not only isolated cases of speeding near the cameras but also compliance with the speed limit throughout the entire monitored section.

However, he did not specify the time period during which these violations were recorded.
