The Ministry of Health does not support the initiative to combine the work of medical institution leaders with private practice in Bishkek and Osh.
This draft law, proposed by deputy Baktybek Choybekov of the VII convocation, was discussed at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh Committee on Labor, Health, Women's Affairs, and Social Issues.
Deputy Gulkan Moldobekova noted that according to the regulations of the Jogorku Kenesh, draft laws proposed by deputies of the previous convocation must be withdrawn and reintroduced if no decisions have been made on them. She emphasized that this is a standard procedure in parliament.
Ulukbek Karybek uulu, another deputy, expressed his position, stating that the initiative is unacceptable, as a law had previously been adopted prohibiting heads and managers of departments from combining work in state institutions with activities in private clinics. He also expressed the opinion that the proposed changes could be of a lobbying nature.
In response, Aibek Matkerimov clarified that the initiative does not reflect the position of the Ministry of Health. He added that the current legislation remains in force, and no decisions have been made on this draft law, as it has not yet been reviewed and approved in the established manner.
