It is worth noting that President Sadyr Japarov appointed the new chairman of the GKNB as acting chairman on February 10 after the resignation of Kamchybek Tashiev from this position.
Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov, 55 years old, was born in the Naryn region. He began his career in the national security agencies as an operational officer and has held the position of deputy chairman of the GKNB since October 2020, as well as leading the 9th service.
