The Russian Foreign Ministry commented on Solovyov's words about Venezuela and Armenia
"This is a private opinion"
Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, commented on the recent statements made by television host Vladimir Solovyov regarding international law, as well as the situation in Venezuela and Armenia. This was reported by RBC.
She noted that "this is a private opinion, not the official position of Russia," adding that Solovyov expressed his thoughts in the form of a question. Zakharova emphasized that manipulations are unacceptable and that Russia's relations with the countries of the South Caucasus and Central Asia are based on good neighborliness, strategic partnership, and alliance.
It should be reminded that during his broadcast, Solovyov mentioned a possible scenario similar to that of the U.S. in Venezuela, and his words provoked a reaction: the Russian ambassador was summoned in Armenia to discuss the situation, and in Kyrgyzstan, there were proposals to declare Solovyov a persona non grata.
It is also worth noting that the official U.S. authorities conducted a military operation in Caracas, during which the President of Venezuela and his wife were taken out for legal proceedings in the United States.
