Armenian Foreign Ministry handed a note of protest to the Russian ambassador over the words of host Solovyov

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia summoned Sergey Kopyrkin, the Russian ambassador, to hand him a note of protest. This decision was a response to the statements made by television host Vladimir Solovyov, who spoke about the necessity for Russia to conduct military operations in the near abroad to ensure national security. The spokesperson for the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ani Badalyan, reported on this event.

In the note of protest, there is a deep outrage regarding Solovyov's statements made during a broadcast on the state television channel. Badalyan emphasized that these remarks represent an unacceptable encroachment on Armenia's sovereignty, are hostile, and grossly violate the fundamental principles of friendship between Armenia and Russia.

Earlier, the television host expressed the opinion that the loss of control over Armenia and Central Asia is a serious problem for Russia. "The situation in Armenia causes us much greater concern than the events in Venezuela," he noted, adding that if Russia began military actions on the territory of Ukraine to ensure state security, similar actions in other regions could also be considered.
