The Jogorku Kenesh adopted in the third reading the protocol on amendments to the EAEU Treaty

- During the session of the Jogorku Kenesh held on March 5, 2026, a bill titled "On the Ratification of the Protocol Amending the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union of May 29, 2014" was adopted, which was signed on July 28, 2025, in Moscow.

This bill was introduced by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.

The Protocol includes amendments aimed at addressing shortcomings identified in the process of law enforcement; clarifying the terms used in the Treaty of the Union; as well as empowering the Eurasian Economic Commission to approve the methodology for assessing obstacles in the internal market of the Union and recognizing barriers and restrictions as eliminated.
