The Committee on Industrial Policy, Transport, Fuel and Energy Complex, Architecture and Construction approved the draft law "On Ratification of the Protocol Amending the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union" at its meeting, which was signed on July 28, 2025, in Moscow. This decision was made in the first reading.
The Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce, Sultan Akhmatov, presented information about the protocol, which was developed as a result of the work of a consolidated working group focused on improving the EAEU Treaty. The document contains 33 amendments aimed at addressing shortcomings identified in the course of law enforcement practice, as well as clarifying definitions used in the Union agreement.
