The agenda of the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, which took place on January 29, included the discussion of the draft resolution "On the National Anthem of the Kyrgyz Republic".
Minister Mambetaliev spoke about the work of the commission, which included deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh responsible for selecting new texts and musical accompaniment for the anthem. As a result, three options were selected from 900 proposed.
Kurmankul Zulushiev, chairman of the Committee on Constitutional Legislation, noted that following the review, the Committee recommended rejecting all three options for the text and music of the anthem.
Thus, the Jogorku Kenesh decided to reject all three proposed options for the new version of the anthem. The interdepartmental specialized commission, which was engaged in preparing new proposals, included deputies Nurjamal Torobekova, Baktyyar Kalpaev, Ulanbek Zhaanbaev, Kamila Talieva, and Venera Salyamova.
