During the discussion, Chairman Kurmankul Zulyshev reported that three versions of the text and music for the new anthem had been submitted to the parliament for consideration. Minister Mambetaliev spoke about the work of the commission, emphasizing that not every composer is capable of creating an anthem. Commission members, including Chynara Umetalieva and Syrtbay Musaev, noted that a significant amount of work had been done over the year, resulting in the selection of three options.
However, Zulyshev emphasized that none of the proposed options surpasses the existing anthem in terms of text or musical arrangement, and therefore they cannot be accepted as full-fledged solutions. Deputy Nurlanbek Azygaliev expressed the opinion that the anthem should inspire citizens and reflect common values, suggesting to extend the competition to find new, stronger works that align with the meaning of the anthem.
As a result of the discussion, the Committee recommended that the Jogorku Kenesh reject all three presented versions of the text and music of the national anthem.
