He noted that committee members reviewed three presented options for the anthem, evaluating both the textual and musical components. However, none of them met the requirements, so the committee decided to reject the projects and set a deadline for their revision.
Zulushiev added that the competition commission will continue its work, and the initiators will be able to submit revised versions when they meet the requirements of the state symbol. According to him, the revision process may take from three to six months, and the final decision will be made by the parliament.
In response to questions about the necessity of replacing the current anthem, the deputy emphasized that he does not consider it mandatory. "If the new anthem is not adopted, the old one will remain in force. No one will cancel it, and it will lose its power only upon the adoption of a new anthem. Personally, I believe that the current anthem is quite satisfactory," Zulushiev stated.
He also added that the committee's decision will be presented for discussion in the Jogorku Kenesh, where deputies will be able to either approve the rejection of the project or propose other options. The final choice, he said, will be made by the parliament.
