The deputy criticized the proposed options for the national anthem of Kyrgyzstan
During the discussion, the deputy noted that all three options were considered; however, none of them demonstrated sufficient advantages to be approved as the country's anthem.
Zulushiev emphasized that the creation of the anthem should be entrusted to true masters of compositional art, rather than to authors of "mediocre works." He added that even having high state awards does not guarantee that composers' creativity will be duly appreciated by society.
In his opinion, both the musical part and the lyrics of the anthem currently appear incomplete and do not reflect the depth and significance that should be inherent to a national symbol. In this regard, he stated that there are currently no grounds for choosing one of the proposed options.
"The decision to adopt an anthem should be based on its uniqueness — both musically and lyrically," Zulushiev noted, emphasizing that this is his personal point of view.
The deputy added that the discussion is ongoing, and each participant is making their suggestions; however, the final decision should be made collectively at a parliamentary meeting.
During the meeting, the committee reviewed three versions of the anthem, listened to them, and decided to reject all proposed options.
