Uzur Zhusupbekov became the bronze medalist of the Muhamet Malo–2026 ranking tournament

The international ranking tournament in sports wrestling, Muhamet Malo–2026, has concluded in Tirana, where Kyrgyz wrestler Uzur Jusupbekov won a bronze medal in the 96 kg category. This was reported by the agency for physical culture and sports.

In the first round of the competition, Jusupbekov confidently defeated Turkmen athlete Amanberdi Agamammedov with an impressive score of 9:0.

However, in the quarterfinals, the Kyrgyz athlete suffered a defeat against Arthur Sargsyan from Russia with a score of 0:9, but this did not prevent him from continuing to fight for a medal through the consolation matches.

In the playoff match for a spot in the small final, Jusupbekov won against Azerbaijani wrestler Mahammad Akhmadiev with a result of 8:2. In the final match for third place, he managed to defeat Iranian wrestler Amirreza Moradiyan, finishing the bout with a score of 4:2.
