On February 27, at the international wrestling tournament MUHAMET MALO–2026 held in Albania, Kyrgyz athlete Gulnura Tashtanbekova managed to win a bronze medal. This information was provided by the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In the under 65 kg category, Gulnura began the competition with a match against Russian wrestler Alina Kasabieva, in which, unfortunately, she suffered a defeat. However, this did not mark the end of her participation in the tournament, as she was given the opportunity to continue fighting for a medal through consolation matches.
In the decisive match for third place, the Kyrgyz athlete faced Apeksha Patil from India. In a tense bout that ended with a score of 3:3, Gulnura emerged victorious thanks to the last scoring action.
