At the international ranking tournament in wrestling MUHAMET MALO–2026, which took place on February 27 in the Albanian city of Tirana, Kyrgyz athlete Meerim Jumanaazarova won a silver medal. This was reported by the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic.
She competed in the under 68 kg category, starting her matches from the round of 16.
At the beginning of the tournament, Jumanaazarova achieved confident victories over American wrestlers: Destin Rene (11:0) and Solin Nicole Pirsi (10:0), which allowed her to advance to the semifinals.
In the semifinal match, the Kyrgyzstani faced Nersin Bas from Turkey and won with a score of 8:4, securing her place in the final.
However, in the final bout against Yuliana Yaneva from Bulgaria, Meerim unfortunately lost with a score of 0:2, taking second place in the competition.
