Kyrgyz wrestler Nurzat Nurtayeva took second place at the international ranking tournament Muhamet Malo–2026, which is taking place in Tirana, Albania. The athlete competed in the weight category up to 72 kg and showed an impressive performance throughout the tournament.
In the first round, Nurtayeva secured a confident early victory over Bulgarian athlete Daniela Brasnarova, finishing the match with a score of 10:0. In the second round, she defeated Indian wrestler Reshma Mane, ending the bout with a fall at a score of 4:0. In the third round, Nurzat crushed Diksha Malik from India, winning with a score of 8:0.
In the semifinals, the Kyrgyzstani fought against Victoria Choluy from Poland and, demonstrating perseverance, defeated her with a score of 2:1, which allowed her to advance to the final.
In the decisive match for the gold medal, Nurzat faced Zhamile Bakbergenova from Kazakhstan. As a result of this bout, she lost, finishing the fight with a score of 3:14 and winning the silver medal of the tournament.
