The State Sports Agency announced plans to elevate the status of national games and develop them as part of culture.

The State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports announced its intentions to promote national games, considering this area as one of the key priorities. This was stated on January 19 at a meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh by Kazibek Moldazhiyev, the director of the agency.

According to Moldazhiyev, the agency has directorates responsible for Olympic, non-Olympic, and national sports. A special development plan has already been prepared for national games.

He emphasized that national games are not only a sporting aspect but also an important part of cultural identity and youth education. Therefore, efforts to popularize and develop them will continue.
