174 athletes have been awarded state scholarships

174 athletes representing the national teams of Kyrgyzstan and achieving significant success in sports have been awarded state scholarships. This information was announced at a meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, which took place on January 19, where the work of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports was discussed.

During the meeting, committee members reviewed the report on the activities of this agency.

The agency's director, Kazybek Moldazhiyev, clarified that the scholarships are awarded in accordance with a government resolution adopted on November 23, 2018. A total of 65.8 million soms has been allocated from the republic's budget for these payments.

The amount of the scholarships varies from 20,000 to 60,000 soms depending on the athlete's category, he added.
