Athletes from Kyrgyzstan won 846 medals on the international stage in 2025

In 2025, athletes from Kyrgyzstan demonstrated impressive achievements on the international stage, winning 846 medals at various world and Asian competitions. This information was announced on January 19 at a meeting of the relevant committee of the Jogorku Kenesh by the director of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, Kazybek Moldazhiyev.

According to him, in individual competitions, Kyrgyz athletes won 267 gold, 234 silver, and 345 bronze medals. Additionally, teams also took prize places in a number of contests.

Throughout the year, 166 sports events were organized at both the republican and regional levels, and national teams participated in 230 international tournaments.

To improve the training of athletes, 147 training camps were held, of which 37 were at the international level, he added.
