Recently, the international sports wrestling tournament MUHAMET MALO–2026 concluded in Tirana. During these competitions, Kyrgyz wrestler Uzur Jusupbekov demonstrated excellent results, winning a bronze medal in the 96 kg weight category.
Jusupbekov began his path to the medal with a confident victory over Amanberdy Agamammedov from Turkmenistan, finishing with a score of 9:0.
However, in the quarterfinals, he suffered a defeat to Arthur Sargsyan from Russia, losing with a score of 0:9. Despite this, the opponent's advancement to the finals allowed the Kyrgyz athlete to continue fighting for a medal through the consolation matches.
In the semifinals for a place in the small final, Jusupbekov won against Mahammad Akhmadiev from Azerbaijan with a score of 8:2. In the decisive match for third place, he managed to defeat Iranian Amirreza Moradiyan, finishing the bout with a score of 4:2 and securing a bronze medal at this prestigious international tournament.
