A photograph has surfaced on social media in Kyrgyzstan, capturing a meeting of scholars, politicians, and activists with Kamchybek Tashiev, who previously held the position of head of the State Committee for National Security, and the mayor of Osh, Jenishbek Toktorbaev.
In this photo, several detainees related to the early presidential election case can be seen: among them are Aaly Karashev, Bekbolot Talgarbekov, and Emil Uzakbaev, as well as others.
At this time, Jenishbek Toktorbaev has not provided any comments on the matter.
It is worth noting that 75 former politicians and figures from science and public life have appealed to President Sadyr Japarov with an initiative to hold early elections.
As a result of this appeal, a criminal case was initiated under part 1 of Article 278 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning mass riots, which led to public outcry and exacerbated the political situation in the country, according to the press service of law enforcement agencies.
On the morning of February 11, 75 signatories were summoned to the investigative bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Of these, five were detained and placed in a detention center.
