According to information provided by the Osh regional department of the Service for Environmental and Technical Supervision of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision, on January 27, 2026, a complaint was received that one of the local residents was keeping a golden eagle in domestic conditions.
As a result of joint actions by inspectors, NABU organization staff, and the "Bars-2" group, the offender was identified. The inspection revealed that he violated Article 262-1 of the Code of Offenses, concerning the illegal export, transportation, storage, and sale of wildlife. Consequently, he was issued a protocol and fined 20,000 soms.
The confiscated golden eagle was successfully returned to its natural habitat.
