In the Kara-Kulja district of Kyrgyzstan, inspectors from the environmental protection service discovered a case of illegal keeping of a golden eagle, listed in the Red Book. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision.
On January 27, information about this violation was received by the Osh regional office of the Ecology Service. During a joint inspection with the "Bars-2" group, the identity of the bird's owner was established.
The golden eagle, which was kept in captivity in a private house, was returned to its natural habitat thanks to the efforts of ecologists and government agencies, including the NABU organization.

As a result of the inspection, ecologists drew up a protocol under Article 262-1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, and the man was fined 20,000 soms.
After a thorough examination of the golden eagle, specialists confirmed its health and released it into the wild.
