The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasizes the importance of dialogue and the protection of citizens' rights

Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev spoke about the sanctions imposed by the West, as well as the new immigration rules in the United States. He noted that Kyrgyzstan continues to support trade relations with key partners, acting within the framework of national legislation, and proposed conducting an independent audit to verify compliance with sanctions measures. Kulubaev characterized the restrictions imposed by Western countries as insufficiently justified from an economic and legal standpoint.

Regarding the innovations in U.S. legislation, the minister pointed out that deportation only affects those who have been in the country without visas and documents for an extended period, while legally residing foreigners are not subject to this measure. He also highlighted the high amounts of visa bonds — ranging from 5,000 to 15,000 dollars — which he deemed excessive for citizens of Kyrgyzstan, and reported that dialogue is ongoing with the American side on this issue.
