Zheenbek Kulubaev considers the imposition of sanctions against Kyrgyzstan to be incorrect.

At a press conference held on January 15 in Bishkek, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that his ministry is actively engaging with partners from the European Union and the United States, conducting regular consultations on sanctions.

Kulubaev emphasized that the Kyrgyz side proposed to conduct an independent audit and provided the necessary documentation; however, according to him, Western partners consider this impractical and continue to impose sanctions unilaterally. "We are located in the center of Central Asia, and many transit cargo shipments pass through our country. Therefore, we cannot simply stop trade with our regular partners. Our economy requires active work and trade to ensure the security and well-being of our people. We adhere to all international obligations and agreements, and if there is any evidence of our violations, we are ready to consider it, but at the moment none has been provided, and this causes dissatisfaction," the minister added.
