Zheenbek Kulubaev summed up Kyrgyzstan's leadership in the CSTO

Zheenbek Kulubaev summarized Kyrgyzstan's leadership in the CSTO

During his report, Zheenbek Kulubaev highlighted that one of the key events during Kyrgyzstan's presidency in the CSTO was the first-ever meeting of the heads of government of the member states, organized at the initiative of Bishkek. This historic event took place in September in Bishkek and marked an important step towards more effective interaction within the bloc.

During its presidency, Kyrgyzstan organized over 40 specialized events. Despite the challenging international situation and growing transnational threats, the country managed not only to maintain continuity in the work of the CSTO but also to propose new integration agreements and memorandums. According to the minister, Kyrgyzstan successfully fulfilled its role as a leader, making a significant contribution to strengthening the collective security system.

Throughout the year, special attention was given to improving political coordination and effective mechanisms for responding to current challenges. The main areas of focus remained joint efforts in combating terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking, and transnational crime, which required close cooperation among the law enforcement agencies of all member states.
